Bonjour Bagel Cafe: Enjoy Fresh Bagels and Great Coffee in Los Alamitos

A busy bagel shop but worth it. Staff is friendly and bagels were hot. Iced latte hit the spot.

During my past three visits, I've encountered an issue with one particular worker who seems to have a problem with females. On my first bad visit, I asked for the bagel lightly toasted, because I don't really like it burnt. Well... I'll never ask for it lightly toasted again, because I feel like she purposely burnt it. On my second bad visit, when my bagel was ready, the same worker literally threw it on the counter, which was quite off-putting. Despite this, I remained polite and said thank you, and left. As I walked out, even my boyfriend had made a remark on how the worker had thrown my bagel. On my most recent visit, I unfortunately again had to endure her aggressive attitude/tone and rushed/pushy behavior, while she was handling my food. What was crazy to me even more was how she completely changed her tone and attitude when a male customer ordered after me. It felt like she was almost overly friendly and accommodating to him, which was a stark contrast to the service I received. I have been a loyal customer of this bagel shop since childhood, and I've made the decision to spend my own money supporting this local shop. I have continued to go despite my recent instances of harsh service, because the bagels and coffee are THAT good. Although I value the tradition and generational aspect of supporting local businesses, and I love a good bagel, it's beyond disheartening to have such unpleasant interactions with the staff. Unprofessional and sexist behavior should not be tolerated in any workplace. Seeing it being my own generation that I am receiving this service from, is even more shameful. It's 2024. We're better then that =/

YUMMY BAGELS. The open faced bagels are a great choice and the bagels themselves are very fresh, warm, and tasty. The cream cheese is also wonderful and pairs well with the really soft bagels. The only issue I have is going during the afternoon with all of the teenagers visiting from high school, running rampant. They speak back and forth obnoxiously with the staff and it seems that they have a rapport and the staff lets the kids go to the back and grab a drink, and they crowd the area towards the bagels and cashier. This makes it difficult to have a nice snack/meal in the afternoon.

We were craving bagels this morning and ended up searching Apple Maps for some bagel places near by and this one came up and I'm so glad it did because it was delicious. The California club had just the right amount of Turkey, avocado, bacon, Mayo and mustard. I also got the banana nut bagel with a side of cream cheese to go and it's so good! It'll be even better when I heat the bagel up when I get home. The woman that served us was also the sweetest, she was the best and is so good with kids! Great service and it's such a cute little place to sit down and eat, and they play some good music so the ambiance was good too. 10/10 would recommend if you're craving a bagel.

Easily my favorite bagel shop. Workers are always so pleasant and friendly to talk to. Service is never a long wait, always out quick! My go-to is the Breakfast Bagel on Spinach Parmesan or Everything bagel with cream cheese and avocado. These sandwiches are HUGE and so delicious for the price compared to other shops. Bonjour!
